Must visit

A place you want to return to. After all, the atmosphere of the winery and wonderful tasting, the hospitable owner Paolo, who told a lot about wine, the city and the country, will not leave anyone indifferent.

I was lucky to visit the vineyard itself, to see how carefully and with what love and care the Italians take care of the vine.

Primitivo wine deserves special attention, for the first time in the whole trip I regretted that I was traveling with hand luggage.

My advice to you:
Don't forget to bring a couple of bottles of wine. Upon returning, it will remind you of a wonderful evening.

Amazing day, Amalfi in all its glory

This is a story about a dream. A story about a city girl who dreamed of a house with a garden for her dog. Now Patricia is a well-known winemaker in Italy with a private winery that produces organic wine.

The good thing about the tour is that it's not solely focused on wine production, but rather an introduction to Campania, a walk through a beautiful large garden that has every fruit, vegetable and herb you can imagine when you think of Amalfi. Guide Alfonso perfectly tells the history of the vineyard, business and features of organic wine production, as well as gives interesting information about the history of the region.

We opted for the lunch tour, which takes place at an exquisitely set table in the garden on the terrace overlooking the coast. The food is of excellent quality, local specialties made from the finest ingredients and of course everything is chosen to highlight the wines you will be tasting. The flavors are endless. There is a very family atmosphere at the table and a great pleasure to communicate with Patricia, Alfonso.

If anyone cares, we arrived at the vineyard at 11:30 and left around 16:30. Everyone communicates in English.
The most convenient way to visit the vineyard is to book a tour via email. As the vineyard is small and lunch is an experience for two or three couples, it's best to plan ahead. The cost of the tour in May was 55 euros, and the tour with lunch and wine tasting cost 95 euros per person. Believe me, the mass of positive impressions that you will have from this day is worth these costs.

For those who went to the tasting for the first time

Everything is good: fast, high quality, everything was told and shown. But the wine, of course, is so-so. The day before, they tried their own wine in the restaurant (it happened by chance), apparently, 2014. And it was quite good. And at the tasting, the wine was given young, it is very weak.

Before leaving Italy, we decided to see what else we need to visit and found the La Frassina winery a few kilometers away. We thought that we would not find anything special there. We were wrong.
Lucia told me interestingly about everything. It became clear how difficult it is and how much you need to love it in order to do it. We looked at the equipment, and then went to taste the wine. She taught us to understand, distinguish and feel the color, smell and taste of wine. We were delighted and bought a few bottles with us.
Highly recommend this place especially for newbies. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Odintsovo, Russia Upon arrival, a good-natured elderly woman met me in the yard (in general, as I understand it, visitors to wineries are a rare occurrence in this season). I’ll immediately warn those who don’t travel in four-wheel drive cars at this time of the year - it’s better to leave the car on a hill after the exit to the dirt road and walk on foot, because we went downhill, and drive back up the mountain along a road that was brushed, but covered in snow, it didn’t work out for us (I didn’t try the chains, because the rental package turned out to be the wrong size, but, in my opinion, they would not have helped on such a road). Thanks to the caring hostess - in the end, the staff cordially pulled the car up the mountain with the help of a mini caterpillar tractor on a cable.
We talked in Italian, in my opinion the communication was successful (although our vocabulary is only a dozen words), because everyone was satisfied with the meeting. The hostess told about her family, her son Luka, who is in charge of everything, but who was not at home at that moment, about his children - Peter and Alice. Transparent clear prices on the price list, croutons, salami, payment in cash and by bank card. We tried different red and white dry wines of 2014-2017 - we all liked them very much, especially Piemonte Moscato - in my opinion it is even better than Martini Asti due to a richer bouquet and natural gassing.
We took 2 bottles of three types. We will definitely visit again if we have the opportunity, thanks for the hospitality and warm welcome.

It's wonderful!

Visited the winery in September. This was spectacular!
We had an individual tour and I was advised to visit this particular winery. To begin with, we arrived on Sunday (we had no other opportunity), which for all Italians is a family dinner day. We must pay tribute to the owners - they showed us everything, told us, we tasted the products, although because of this, the time for a family dinner shifted somewhat.
The name of the owner of the winery is Nicoletta. She has three children, after whom vintage wines are named - Sebastian, Alexander and Sarah. Red wines are named after the boys, white wines are named after the daughter. Wines are excellent! I recommend! In addition, there are ordinary wines and pink champagne (very tasty!), As well as olives.
The winery is amazingly clean! Everywhere perfect cleanliness and order. In the cellars, the barrels in which the wine is aged are in perfect condition. The winery produces organic wines (without any additives).
In addition to wines, Nicoletta served appetizers for the tasting (cheese, bread, sausage, several types of caviar from olives and vegetables, and olive oil). Everything was delicious. The wine was beyond praise.
By the way, it was the harvest period, so we were able to taste the grapes "from the bush".
I didn't want to leave. A charming hostess, a house surrounded by vineyards, wonderful children, her own business, two golden labradors, peace and quiet. What else is needed for happiness?
